Girls Night Out
Fall is just around the corner! Kids are heading back to school! Get ready to get your knitting needles out again. Come join us Friday Sept. 24 from 6-8 for Girls night out. Fall and Winter Classes
Oscilloscope Shawl with Anita: Wed Sept 1, 15, and 29 from 6-8pm. This shawl is knit slightly different than some other shawls. It's knit from side to side. Shop sample is knit with Kathmandu Aran-3 1/2 balls or 400 yds.
You will need a US # 9, 24" circular needle, and a copy of Knitscene Fall 2010.
Must have experience knitting a charted design. $35.00

Holiday Knit/Crochet Club-Sept. 16, Oct 21, Nov 18, Dec 16, 6-8pm
Come and join us for our Holiday Knit/Crochet Club. Each third Thursday of the month we will have a different theme and each month the projects will require less time to complete. By December, you will have a stash of gifts to give away It's only $5.00 each month which includes your choice of one pattern.

This months theme is "things to wear around your neck". This months project will require 16"-24", size 10 or size 7-8 needles depending on the pattern you choose. Crocheters will need hook size H.
Seaming with Anita-Sept 21 6-8
You knit it, now you need to put it together. Learn how to seam your garments. We will show you how to seam in garter stich (ridges to ridges, stitches to ridges and stitches to stitches), and the mattress stitch for stockinette.
Supplies: 2 4x4 swatches in garter stitch and 2 4x4 swatches in stockinette, a darning needle and contrasting yarn. $15.00
2 at a time Socks with Yolanda-Sept 28, Oct. 12, 26 from 10-12.
Supplies: yarn in sufficient quantity to knit two socks. I recommend splitting yarn into two skeins.
Knitting your socks on 2 circular needles allows you to knit both socks at the same time.
You must be able to knit in the round.

Snow Boarder Hat with Yolanda, Sat Oct. 16, 30 8-10am
Supplies: Fiber Trends Snowboard Hat Pattern
220 yds Bulky yarn. Size 15 16" or 20" circular needles. Size 15 DPNs. Cochet hook size N or M and large eyed tapestry needle.
Lets get ready for winter by knitting this warm snowboarder hat. This is a great hat that the whole family is sure to love.
Must be able to knit in the round. $25.00
Wristlets with Yolanda, Sat Oct 23 1-3.
Supplies: 100yds worsted or light bulky yarn.
Size 8 double points
These wristlets make great gifts for the holidays.
Must have experience knitting on double points. $15.00
Socks on double points with Anita, Wed Oct 13, 27, Nov 10 from 6-8.
Learn how to knit any size sock, any size yarn-from the top down.
Supplies: Yarn, appropriate double point needles, pattern available at Kristen's Knits.

Crow Waltz Shawl with Anita, Oct 5, 19, Nov 2, 6-8pm
This is a fun little shawl that uses 3 different sizes of needles. The lace edging is knit first, then stitches are picked up to do the body of the shawl.
yarn suggestions are 2 different (280 yds each) of DK weight yarn that you like, (strong contrast, one variegated, one solid, or 2 very differnet variegated yarns).
The shop sample was knit with 2 skeins of the same subtley variegated yarn
Needles: Circulars, US 3, US 5, and US 8-24" length.
Must have experience knitting a charted design. $35.00
Smocked Mug Cozy with Yolanda, Dec 7, 10-12
Supplies: 100yds worsted weight yarn.
US 6-7 double points or 2 circulars.
1 button and tapestry needle.

Block of the Month Update
